I won't spoil the victor, but I will say I was pleased by the result.
Check out Pobst's lap times and the backstory to how the test got together over at !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . It's a three page article, so be sure to click through at the bottom.

I love their comparison graph... (spoilers) Give me the P1, I still like it better ;)

Man, good old traction is so underrated. Having aerodynamics that allow over 2g cornering is great and all but very few tracks have 2g corners.

I love how the company that just dropped a car from their fleet off for some laps was surprised they were quicker. They genuinely provided MT with their hyperultramegacar, sent a dude or two to kick the tires, and went "Eh......we're probably slower.......whatevs" and then go and bash the other's face in.

I'd take the 918 because of the more advanced powertrain, though the P1 will likely be worth far more in 20 years' time because of its relative scarcity.

True, at a big track like COTA, the roles would probably reverse dramatically.

Yeah, Top Gear Mag did a comparison in Italy (can't remember the track) where the P1 was 4 seconds faster since on the long bend it pulled 2.2 G in comparison to the 918's 1.8 G.

No video Motor Trend?
So lets get two batshit crazy cars and an amazing circuit then avoid taking a single video of the entire experience because lets be honest who would want to see or hear that.
